if our God is for us...who can be against us?

This morning at church, the pastor preached on Romans 8:31-39.  At the end of his sermons, the pastor gives an application...his first application was: "Is Christ "for" you?  Accept Him." Paul was not talking about the non-Christian but for the Christ follower...what does it mean for us to "accept Christ"--do you believe Christ is for you?  Do you believe that?  Do you believe that in your whole life Christ is FOR you--that He died FOR YOU--not just for "any body" but for you.  Then, if you believe this how are you remembering Christ's love?  This is the part I loved the most in the application of his sermon.  The pastor told us that we have to meditate on Scripture--for me, "meditating" on God's Word can often be difficult--sitting still and staying focused on a verse or even a word from the verse is often hard to do.   But, as artists, there are ways we can do this!  We can write down verses on notecards or our journal or take a smooth rock and write a word from the verse that I want to think about and put the reference on the other side of the rock.  How are ways that you meditate on God's Word?

  2. The word "meditation" itself takes us to that very place where we often go, the place where we find ourselves standing before His Glory, the Throne of Grace when we WORSHIP HIM.

  4. Meditation to me is emptying our minds of Negativity and focusing on the truth of the divinity(God).
